Looking for an exceptional team-building event in Poznań? Zakodowany Poznań turns the historic Old Town into a game board, and your team gets a mission: get the code faster than the other teams.
The game combines three elements: a city map, cards created specially for this game and an app that is both the command centre and the referee. It all runs under time pressure, which raises the excitement.
The game area is the Old Town in Poznań. Each team gets a paper map with a marked area and looks for answers only inside it. Crossing its boundaries gains nothing and costs precious time.
A card, a hint and 20–30 codes to crack
Each riddle is on a separate card, and on the back there is a hint leading to the place that helps solve it. There are between 20 and 30 riddles, and each one is a code to decipher in itself. They call for cleverness, cooperation and creativity.
A phone won't solve them: Google, Google Lens and Google Maps won't help. You have to look for the answers in person, in the streets of the Old Town.
The unobvious is the rule here. It's not just about entertainment, but also about discovering the city in an unusual way, from a completely new perspective.
A race against your own clock
Each team gets its own clock, which counts down from the start to the end of the game. For correct answers the team collects the digits of the code, and the code stops its clock. Whoever does it first wins. The other teams are placed according to when they stopped their counters.
The app verifies answers as you go and shows your rivals' progress. When you see on the screen that a competing team has solved another riddle, you will feel a rush of adrenaline. The ranking refreshes every 15 minutes and stops updating half an hour before the end.
We start with a short meeting at an agreed point, where you learn the rules, the stages of the game and a few tips for winning. After that you act on your own, following your own strategy, and the only control is the app. We finish with a joint review of the results and a celebration, when the game time is up or earlier if all clocks have been stopped.
